VACATION 2011

We three had a beautiful time enjoying this years' vacation. We had spent almost one month in India and our schedule was pretty busy this time.

Started off with a visit to our home town (SK) for a temple festival. Even though the sun was so harsh on us, we all enjoyed the visit to the core. We met many of our relatives and also my grandma and grandpa are living there. The visit ended in 4 days and we went back to Trivandrum.

Relaxed for a week in Trivandrum having nice home-made food from my mom. We celebrated my b'day which came in this week by spending a day-out in the Travancore Heritage Resort with our parents and my bro. It was a memorable b'day after a few years of normal ones. I even cut two cakes this year. :)... attended 2 functions in the relatives' places and so met so many relatives after almost 3 years....felt good...

In the next week, we three went to Aquasserrene Resort near Kollam and spent 3 days there....... Had yummy yummy food and our lake facing cottage was so scenic.

Now its turn to go to hubby's home...After 2 days, we went to Pondicherry, to my MIL's sis's house. Ashmi traveled for the first time in the train. She was not able to sleep well in the night and was crying and was so disturbed the whole night. Ashmi met her lil sis Tiya there. Itz always nice to see lil ones together. We really missed Pradi's sis family, as they were not able to make it to India for this years' vacation. Hope to see them next year. We along with my in-laws spent 3 days there and now back to FIL's home in Trivandrum. Took rest for a couple of days as the journey was so tiring.

Now itz time to go to Kannur, to attend my hubby's cousin bro's engagement. Again a train journey, but this time my lil one was fine. I think she got used to the train by now.

 

We spent another 10 days in Trivandrum before heading to Doha. Even though the journeys were hectic, we enjoyed the get-togethers.Ashmi had spent few beautiful days with her grandpa's and grandma's. She became more smart and even started to speak few words. She even understands Telugu by now.

What more to say, like that our vacation ended and we are back in Doha...waiting for the next vacation...long way to go..:)
