ANCHOVY / NETHALI THORAN


Ingredients
Anchovy - 500 g
Raw Green Mango - 1 medium-sized (cut into 10-15 small length-wise pieces)

Masala ingredients:
Whole dried red chilly - 7-8 no.s
Whole pepper - 1 tsp
Small onion - 6 no.s
Garlic - 2 pods
Grated coconut - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves

Salt to taste
Water - 1/4 cup
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp



Method
Grind pepper alone in a mixie can. Once it is powdered well, add red chilies and grind again. Add in all the other masala ingredients, grind roughly and keep aside. Heat oil in a cooking pan, Add fish, mango pieces, salt, water and masala ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, until the fish the cooked. Open and mix in between.
