VISIT TO AL ZUBARAH FORT, AL SHAMAL,QATAR
Today, 25th January 2019, visited Al Zubarah Fort along with family.
Al Zubarah Fort belongs to Qatar Museums Authority and is situated in Al Zubarah, which is a deserted town around 103 kilometers from Doha in the north western coast of Qatar.
It is around an hour and 15 minutes drive from central Doha, the capital of Qatar. It takes around 30 minutes to tour the Fort and is open from 8 am till 6 pm except on early mornings of Fridays and Saturdays.
Google maps helped us to find our way. From Doha, take Express Highway heading to Shamal and take Exit 59. After around 38 kilometers straight drive from there, the Fort will be on your right side.
The Fort includes a small museum which describes the archaeological site of Al Zubarah and also have a souvenir shop.
