ORATTI OR RICE FLOUR PANCAKE


INGREDIENTS:
Rice powder - 1 cup (makes around 5-6 Oratti). I used home-made idiappam powder
Coconut grated - 1 tsp
Green chilly - 1 big finely chopped
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves - few finely chopped
Gingerly oil

METHOD:
- Add coconut, chilly, salt, coriander leaves to rice powder and mix well
- Add hot water slowly to make batter like idiappam consistency
- Make 5 balls by applying gingerly oil on the hands, and cover the bowl of balls with a lid
- Place a banana leaf or a zip lock cover on the flat kitchen surface
- Greece gingerly oil on it, place a ball on it and flat using hand to get the shape
- Heat a flat tawa, place the oratti on it, cook by pouring little gingerly oil on both sides
- Flip slowly, otherwise it will break
- Serve hot with Mutton Curry
