TOMATO CHUTNEY FOR IDLY




INGREDIENTS:
Items A:
Tomato - 5 medium sized (cut into chunks)
Garlic - 5 pods
Green chilly - 4-5
LG Kayam - 1 pinch

Onion - 1 big - very finely chopped
Refined oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - a pinch
Urad dhal - a pinch
Curry leaves - 1 flake
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt

METHOD:
- Boil Items A with water to cover until tomato is cooked, let it cool
- Grind in a mixer, add little water if needed and filter after grinding. Better to use juice only
- Heat a pan with oil, crackle mustard seeds, followed by urad dhal, curry leaves. 
- Add onion and saute until it turns golden brown
- Pour tomato mix into it and mix well
- Add Turmeric powder, Chilly powder, salt and mix well
- Let it boil and then off the stove. Serve hot with Idly
