TOMATO PACHADI

This recipe is from my Mom's kitchen. Me and my brother love to eat this Pachadi with Rice and Sambar. H also likes this pachadi.


INGREDIENTS:
Tomato - 3 medium (remove seeds, chop into small square pieces)
Big onion - 1 medium (chop into small square pieces)
Salt to taste

For Masala (Grind once roughly):
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 3/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Coconut grated - 2 tbsp
Garlic - 2 pods
Small onion - 2

Sauteeing:
Refined oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - a pinch
Urad dhal - 1 pinch
Curry leaves - a flake

METHOD:
- Heat oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds, followed by urad dhal, curry leaves
- Add onion and saute until it turns golden brown
- Add tomato, little salt, move flame to sim mode
- Close with a lid and cook until tomato skin separates
- Now add the grinded masala, little salt and water
- Cook until the raw smell of masala goes and oil appears
- Serve hot with Rice and Sambar
