EVEN I CAN !!!!!!! STAY FIT


Never thought will do dieting ever in my life, but recently me n DH decided to follow GM diet 1 week plan. We heard that it is effective, so thought of giving it a try.

Here goes our diet:


Day 1: Fruits only
Breakfast: watermelon, sweet melon
Snack : 1 guava
Lunch: Fruit Salad without banana
Dinner: Watermelon, chickoo fruit
In the morning had melons for the breakfast. After a few hours, felt hungry and so had a guava. Had fruit salad for the lunch. In the evening again was so hungry and at the same time didn't feel good to have fruits.
By evening, started to boil potatoes, chopped and cooked the vegetables for day 2, as won't be having that much time to prepare veggies in the morning before leaving to the office. Somehow managed to do this and stored our food in the fridge. In the night had a chickoo with few pieces of watermelon and slept early.


Day 2: Vegetables only
Breakfast: 2 medium-sized boiled potatoes. Just added little salt, pepper, chilly powder and made them in to a Veg Patty with potato only and fried them in a non-stick pan without adding oil.
Snack : Baby carrots
Lunch: Cooked Vegetable Mix (with cabbage, cauliflower, beans, carrot, green, red, yellow pepper). I didn't followed the full recipe to prepare it, just added salt, turmeric, chilly powder.
Snack: Baby carrots
Dinner - 2 salad cucumber, 1 carrot
In the morning, the first thing which we did was a weight check and yippieeee, itz 0.5kg less, thats a big milestone. Prepared the patties and just steamed the vegetables. I was so hungry in the morning and after having the potatoes, was bit relieved. Felt like I am full and didn't had a feel of hunger till the lunch time.. I love you potato...but it was very difficult to eat the veg mix just like that as I am only used to have it along with chapatti. But managed to have a few spoons of it and munched the baby carrots. Didn't felt like having anything in the evening, but was a bit tired...reached home by 5pm, but have to rush to office again for a meeting by 7, so time went fast. Suppressed the hunger in the night with veggies and successfully ended Day 2 of the diet...felt determined and happy now.



Day 3: Fruits and Vegetables
Breakfast: 1 apple, 1 plum, baby carrots
Snack: salad cucumber
Lunch: 3 pieces of pineapple, 1 salad cucumber, Orange
Dinner: 1 plum, 1 mango, 1 chickoo, 1 guava
The regular weight check happened in the morning and was surprised to see that nearly 1 more kg less now. Didn't felt hungry today...As a regular process had few fruits for the breakfast, munched carrots in between, but still not really hungry. What happened to my hunger level? Surprised!!! not too much eager to eat. Again as a regular process had my lunch, that too again few fruits. Felt a bit tired in the evening and had few fruits for the dinner and felt ok.


Day 4: Banana and Milk
Breakfast: 1 glass milk, 1 boiled banana
Snack: 1 banana
Lunch: 1 glass milk, 2 banana
Snack: 1 banana, 1 glass milk
Night: 1 bowl of Cabbage Soup
Again the weight reduced to another 0.5kg. In the morning I became gastric and was not feeling well. Felt better after I had my breakfast. Was not that much hungry on this day and the day went on well. In the evening prepared the soup and tomato rice for the next day. I was not feeling much tired on this day.


Day 5: Tomato and Rice
Breakfast: 2 whole tomatoes
Snack: 1 tomato
Lunch: 1/2 cup Tomato Rice
Snack: 2 tomato
Dinner: 1/2 cup tomato rice
In this day I had a feel that I am a bit light. The day was not that difficult to go as I had rice. Now I understood that 1 cup of rice is enough to keep the life along with work at office and house works :) That was a good learning for us.



Day 6: Rice and Vegetables
Breakfast: 3 salad cucumbers
Snack: baby carrots
Lunch : 1/2 cup Jeera Pulao
Snack: 2 salad cucumbers + carrots
Dinner - 1/2 cup Tomato rice + Gobi Dry Masala + 2-3 tbsp cabbage soup
The regular weight check happened today morning also. Felt so happy....4 kgs less from the start day of the GM diet.
Now worried about how to retain the weight once the diet plan completes. FINGERS CROSSED . A difficult milestone ahead.. DH is 3 kgs less now.


Day 7: Wheat Rice, Vegetables, Fruit Juice
Breakfast: Noodles
Snack: 1 cup soup
Lunch : 1.5 Chapatti + masala
Snack: 1 glass mixed fruit juice, 1 small veg samosa
Dinner: 1 Paratta + 1/4 cup rice + chicken curry
In the morning the regular weight check happened and almost 4.5-5 kgs less in a week...In this day, we didn't follow the diet plan and had food according to our wish, but had everything in a controlled way consuming less quantities. DH is now nearly 4kgs less.


We are looking forward to a healthy diet in the coming days, as our eagerness to have food has become less now. Thanks GM diet.
