RAVA UPPUMAAVU


An easy breakfast which can be prepared in just 10 mins.

Ingredients
Rava/Semolina - 1 cup
Big onion - 1 no medium sized chopped
Carrot - 1/2 no chopped (optional)
Green chilies - 2 nos chopped
Cashews - 10 nos, each one cut into 2 pieces
Coconut - 1 tbsp grated
Curry leaves
Salt
Oil - 1 tsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Water - 2 cups
Mustard seeds, Urid dhal to saute
Coriander leaves - chopped to garnish



Method
Heat oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds. Add urid dhal, curry leaves and saute. Add onions, green chilies, carrots and saute until onion becomes golden brown in color. Add water, salt. When water boils, put stove in sim mode and add rava, coconut, ghee and mix well for 5 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with sugar or potato masala.

    You could even add 1 bean chopped and 1-2 tsp of frozen green peas...
