JEERA PULAO


Ingredients
Basmati rice - 1.5 cups
Ghee - 2 tsp
Oil - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
Ginger - 1 tbsp grated
Green chilies - 2 nos, slitted
Water - 3 cups
salt as needed
coriander leaves - chopped


Method
1. Soak rice in warm water for 10 minutes
2. Heat oil and 1 tsp ghee in a pan. Once ghee melts, crackle cumin seeds
3. Add ginger and saute for a minute followed by green chilies and saute for another minute
4. Add soaked rice and stir well
5. Add water, salt and cook until rice is done (~8-10 mins in medium flame)
6. Add 1 tsp ghee and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot
