PEPPER MUTTON MASALA


Ingredients
Indian Mutton - 500 g cleaned and chopped
Red onions/shallots - 1/2 cup sliced
Big Onion - 1 medium sliced
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Whole Pepper - 1 tbsp
Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Ginger grated - 1 inch piece
Garlic grated - 5 cloves
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Cashews - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves - as needed
Salt - as needed
Coriander leaves





Method
Mix chopped mutton, sliced big onion, grated ginger, grated garlic, little salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and whole pepper very well. Pressure cook this with 1/2 cup water for 10 whistles.Fry cashews in 1 tsp coconut oil and keep separate.

In a heavy bottomed pan, heat coconut oil. Saute small onion and then add curry leaves. Add cooked mutton mixture to this. Add little more salt, fried cashews and put the stove in sim and cook till the gravy becomes thick.Serve hot with rice or parotta.
