BANANA TEA CAKE

Today, I baked my first cake in oven. I have made MW cakes and steamed-cakes before. Even though I had a microwave with convection mode for years, now only I came to know that, it does the same like grill ovens. So took the courage to try the first cake and it came out well.

INGREDIENTS
Banana -4 well ripe
Egg - 2
Oil - 1/2 cup
Butter - 3 tbsp
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Evaporated milk - 1 small can (160 ml) / fresh milk - 1/2 cup
All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1.5 tsp
Walnuts/Pistachio/Almond flakes with few raisins for toppings

METHOD
1. Combine all dry ingredients, the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda
2. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly distributed
3. In a separate bowl, mix egg, mashed banana, butter, vanilla and evaporated milk
4. Then mix well with the dry ingredients mix until batter is formed
5. Grease baking pan with butter
6. Pour the cake batter into the baking pan
7. Preheat oven to 180°C with lower-level grill stand (I used microwave convection mode - it took only 2-3 minutes)
7. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 40-45 minutes
8. Cool for 10 minutes outside
8. Use any desired frosting if needed or serve as tea cakes
