BEANS THORAN


Ingredients:
Beans - 250g
Onion - 1 medium chopped
Coconut - 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Small onion - 2 no
Garlic - 2 pods
Cumin seeds - 1 pinch
For sauteing:
Refined oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds, urad dhal - a pinch each
Curry leaves - a flake
Salt to taste


Method:
1. Grind coconut, small onion, garlic, cumin seeds, turmeric pwd, chilly pwd coarsely in a mixer and keep aside
2. Heat oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds followed by urad dhal and curry leaves
3. Saute onion until it turns golden brown
4. Add the grinded coconut mixture to it and saute for a minute
5. Then add chopped beans, salt, and sprinkle some water
6. Cook the beans for 10-15 mins or until it is done
7. Serve hot with rice and sambar
