BANANA FLOWER || BANANA BLOSSOM THORAN


INGREDIENTS
Banana flower - 2 medium flowers
Red onion - 7 no sliced
Coconut - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 pinch
Red onion - 2 no
Garlic - 2 no
Oil, mustard seeds, urad dhal, curry leaves for sauteing



METHOD
1. Remove the top layer petals on the flower, separate the flowers seen inside, and chop the flowers after removing the thick black stem in each flower
2. Grind coconut, cumin seeds, 2 onion, 2 garlic coarsely and keep aside
3. Heat oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds, followed by urad dhal and curry leaves
4. Add sliced 7 onions and saute until it turns translucent
5. Now add chopped banana flower pieces and mix well
6. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and sprinkle little water
7. Cook in medium flame until the flower is cooked, serve hot
