MISUA WITH RIDGE GOURD SOUP || FILIPINO FOOD


INGREDIENTS
Chinese Vermicelli (Misua) - 25 g
Boneless chicken - 100 g (chopped as thin slices)
Ridge gourd - 1 peeled and sliced
Oil - 1 tbsp
Garlic - 3 pods chopped
Onion - 1 medium
Pepper powder - 3/4 tsp
Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Water - 3-4 cups
Prawns - 20-30 no (optional)
Fried chicken balls - 10 no (optional)


METHOD
1. Heat oil in  pan, saute garlic followed by onion.
2. Add prawns followed by chicken, salt, pepper pwd, chilly powder and cook until they are done
3. Add water and let it boil, now add Misua and cook until it is half done for nearly 5 mins
4. Add ridge gourd and cook for another 5 mins.
5. Check again salt now and add another 1/2 tsp if needed
6. If adding fried chicken balls, add in the end and serve the hot soup
