SPAGHETTI WITH MUSHROOMS IN SPAGHETTI RED SAUCE


INGREDIENTS
Spaghetti noodles - 250 g
Spaghetti sauce - 500 g (I used Delmonte Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce)
Mushrooms - 1 small can, sliced, 250 g
Butter - 1 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbsp + 1 tsp
Onion - 1 big finely chopped
Carrots - 1 big finely cubed
Pepper powder - 1.5 tsp
Nestle cream - 1 small can, 150 ml
Tomato ketchup  - 2 tbsp
Cheddar cheese - 1/4 cup cubed (Optional)
Salt to taste



METHOD
1. Boil spaghetti noodles with oil (1 tbsp) and salt (1 tsp) until cooked (approx. 15-20 minutes)
2. Heat butter and oil (1 tsp) in a heavy bottomed pan, saute onion until it turns translucent
3. Now add carrots, mushrooms, cover and cook for 5 mins
4. Add pepper powder, salt, mix well
5. Add spaghetti sauce, tomato ketchup and mix well for 2 minutes
6. Add nestle cream and stir well for a minute
7. If desired, add cheddar cheese cubes now
8. Add in cooked spaghetti, garnish with grated cheddar cheese and serve hot
